Treatment Philosophy:
Dr. Shih believes that treatment involves attentive listening and patient education, paired with the latest knowledge of psychiatric medications. Before making any recommendations, a thorough evaluation is done. Areas of special interest are mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and sleep problems.
Background:
Dr. Shih graduated with honors from the University of Maryland, with dual degrees in Biology and Classical Humanities. She attended Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL. Dr. Shih completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Michigan, and served as the Departmental Chief Resident. She is now an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer for the University of Michigan Medical School and teaches residents and medical students.
Rates:
Dr. Shih has a fee for service practice. Payment is requested at time of service. A brief initial phone consultation must be held before an evaluation can be scheduled. |
